Students are excited to be coming home with their Term 2 Report Cards today. Students have worked hard this term and should be proud of their accomplishments! We encourage parents to praise their child(ren) on the effort they put in to their academic successes and avoid praising them on how ‘smart’ they are. Praising students on their effort helps build a growth mindset. A comment such as, “Wow! You did really well on your report card! You’re really smart!” often promotes a fixed mindset. Instead, try “Wow! You must have worked really hard to earn these grades! Well done! Keep working hard next year too!” Congratulations students! Keep working hard!
