As students get set to wrap up their week (tomorrow is a PD Day-no school for students), we would like to briefly share some of the great learning students are engaged in. Junior students are learning about the circulatory system and are getting very creative in making their own representations using a variety of materials. They are also looking at an interesting art piece titled, “I And The Village” and working to create their own piece as well. Another class is creating camouflage art pieces by using pictures of a variety of animals and blending them into their art piece backgrounds.  Junior students have been using their Googledoc accounts to create, edit, and share pieces of writing and to complete research projects. Our primary students have been engaged in audio read-alouds that support their ability to visualize the information presented to them. Our grade 3 students have taken time to thoroughly reflect on their Creative Movement piece from yesterday’s Remembrance Day assembly. Math skills are being enhanced as students use their Dreambox accounts and explore number and shape patterns. Kindergarten students continue to follow a play-based inquiry  model for learning by exploring and investigating patterns, rocks and minerals, and a variety of animals. They also continue to demonstrate their learning  orally and through drawings and printing. Keep up the great work, students!
