January/February: Grant proposals submitted.

March 30: Dance-a-thon to raise funds to supplement the potential granted funds.

April/May: Grant proposal response and confirmation of grant money allocated to Greening Committee.

Late summer: Planting and installation of the greening project.

September: Greening ceremony to celebrate the greening initiative at Bridgeport Public School. Media, dignitaries and school board staff will be invited. The family donation plaque will also be presented at this time.

Planting time through to snowfall: Maintenance of greening project: three large buckets of water per tree once a day. Parent volunteers and ‘Green Team’ students will be needed to help water the trees daily. Watering these trees is a vital part of making this greening initiative a success and we call out to any volunteer help that can be offered. Reach us at bridgeport.school.greening@gmail.com.
